What a year we’ve had at River Islands! 2019 was a year of growth and welcoming several new additions to the neighborhood, including beautiful new neighborhoods and exciting amenities for our residents to enjoy all year round! If you haven’t been to our community in Lathrop and seen what opened this year, below are just a few of the highlights!

Opening of Islander’s Field –That’s right, we opened up our very own baseball stadium right here in the community! River Islands has played host to many traveling teams for tournament play almost every weekend since the opening of Islander’s Field in May. River Islands residents love riding their bikes over on the weekends to catch a game! Read more about Islanders’ Field HERE.

Opening of Soccer Fields – Residents and teams in the area now have a beautiful place to play with six brand-new, top-class Bermuda-grass fields! We also were host to 72 teams from all over Northern California at the NorCal Premier State Cup in April! This summer, the River Islands Futbol Club partnered with the Manteca Sol AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) to provide recreational soccer for residents of River Islands (more details HERE).

Relocation of the Welcome Center – Our beautiful Welcome Center has a new home at 1501 River Islands Parkway! Our Welcome Center specialists, Jamie and Tiana, are there daily to help visitors learn about what’s happening at River Islands. They can direct you to the neighborhoods in the community that fits your needs best!

New Homes! – This year we welcomed FIVE new neighborhoods into the community: Haven by Anthem United, Bridgeport Van Daele Homes, Newport by Kiper Homes, and Watermark by Richmond American Homes. We also have a new location for the popular Latitude floorplans by Van Daele Homes – so plan a day to come see them in person!

Another Season of the River Islands’ Farmers Market – We had so much fun picking out our favorite produce from local vendors in the area! Stay tuned for info on the Farmers Market in 2020!

Scouts at the Dell’Osso Family Farm – The River Islands scouts had a fun all-day survival training at our favorite farm across the street. It was filled with activities and yummy snacks!

Olive Harvest and Olive Oil Pressing – We were thrilled to have residents attend our second Oil Harvest event in partnership with Dell’Osso Family Farms this month..and we look forward to many more U-Pick opportunities in 2020 for River Islands residents!

Tree Lighting at Michael Vega Park – We wrapped up a fabulous year with a community tree lighting in Michael Vega Park, complete with a visit from Santa! Two wonderful residents, Jessica and Brittany, planned the entire event on and kicked-off the community-wide giving program at the tree lighting! We love seeing the River Islands community come together and make a difference!

New neighbors! – As always, we love welcoming new neighbors into the community. We saw a total of 1,200+ new residents move in and we hope to welcome many more next year!

We are looking forward to watching our community grow and seeing more positive changes in 2020!
