A place to come together.

When we envisioned the first Town Center in River Islands, we wanted to create something special where the community could come together and feel a true sense of belonging. Imagine a walkable hub with a unique vibe, including a fine-dining restaurant, artisanal eateries, specialty shops, a major grocery store, medical office building, and an amphitheater for concerts and festivals.

Redwood Café Coming Soon

We not only relocated the iconic restaurant to River Islands, we physically moved the buildings that make up the Redwood Café from its original Modesto location to Lathrop. The foundation work has been poured and the cellar rooms are under construction, making way for the structural framing and walls.

Known for its exquisite food, wine and service, you can expect the same fine dining experience at the new and expanded Redwood Café at River Islands. The new restaurant will have an outdoor terrace and an events center for weddings and corporate events.

The Pavilion Coming Soon

The Pavilion is designed for around 3,400 people, creating a significant new entertainment hub in the Town Center. With Mt. Diablo as part of the backdrop, it’s a picturesque venue for concerts, plays, and corporate and community-wide events. The Pavilion will also be available for private rental use.

Sutter Health Medical Center Opening 2028

Sutter Health continues to bring state-of-the-art care to Northern San Joaquin Valley communities with a December, 2025 public unveiling of its plans for a two-story 40,000 square-foot medical facility in River Islands. The medical building will offer a wide range of specialties like imaging, lab services, and other types of advanced care. The current goal is a 2028 Grand Opening.

Integral Parts of the Developing Town Center

The Lathrop Police Department and Lathrop-Manteca Fire Station 35 are located directly adjacent to the upcoming River Islands Town Center. Our sports venue and central hub for recreation, Islanders Field, is located within the Town Center to provide easy access to local shopping, dining, and more.
