Michael Vega Memorial Park is a meaningful gathering place for our community. Named in honor of Army 1st Lt. Michael Vega, a Lathrop native who gave his life while serving his country during Operation Iraqi Freedom, the park offers a welcoming space for reflection and recreation.

A large circular lawn and a variety of play structures provide plenty of room for children to run, climb, and explore, while you enjoy scenic views. A paved walking path loops around the park and extends to the shoreline of the lake—perfect for getting in extra steps. The park also features a picnic grove ideal for enjoying takeout from the nearby Boathouse Restaurant, along with benches where you can relax and take in the peaceful surroundings.
